Looking at the original layout of this 10-year-old resale condo, Joey knew that significant changes had to be implemented to carve out a space conducive for maximum rest and relaxation. That culminated in a refreshed open- concept layout where he hacked away boundary walls of the kitchen and a common bedroom and reshuffled the configurations of the remaining two bedrooms and ensuite bathroom. With that, the new configuration carries a fluidity of air and space and yet the private zones, namely the enlarged master suite, can be cordoned off from the communal area to retain its privacy. Such carefully-considered spatial measures offer spaces of flexibility where the homeowner can host at ease; knowing that his master bedroom and private bathroom are out of bounds to guests through hideaway sliding doors. These seamless yet space-smart strategies are just some of the design highlights that Joey thoughtfully introduced to make home a sweeter respite for this busy urbanite. The Brief
