H I G H L I G H T Ambiente is one of the world’s largest and most renowned consumer design fairs, and this year’s edition further cemented this reputation. Held in Frankfurt, Germany from 7 to 11 February, the Ambiente fair saw 4,635 exhibitors from 93 countries covering 310,240 square metres. This year, around 108,000 visitors from nearly 160 countries visited the fair, despite the uncertainty of the Covid-19 impact as well as Storm Ciara that hit parts of Europe during that period. We visited the Ambiente fair and spotted some key trends that are sure to take off locally later this year. Here are some of the highlights. As such, the fair organisers introduced the HoReCa hall (a portmanteau of the words Hotel, Restaurant and Catering). This is where we found the latest collections and insights for the front- of-house industry that will eventually inspire residential interior design.
