118 / KEY TOYOUR HOME key projects / studio fortyfour 3/ LIVING ROOM The sitting area in the living room is a picture of simplicity and minimalism. But instead of coming across as bare and lifeless, the space is cosy, warm and stylishly on-point. Furniture is kept to a minimum, with just an L-shaped sofa, a side table, and “floating” display shelves. 4/ BEDROOM By following a similar design doctrine, the bedroom looks quiet and understated. Instead of allowing the colour black to overwhelm this room, the designers only painted the lower parts of the walls. This form of purposeful colour blocking adds visual heft to the room without making the space look darker. 5/ BATHROOM Even the bathrooms in this home sport the same black and white colour theme. Here, black mosaic tiles on the walls complement the speckled black wash basin and matte black cabinets. 3 4 5
