They also compose of natural soybean-based wax and therapeutic-grade essential oils, making them burn longer than ordinary scented candles. They also don’t produce unsightly black soot, which is not only troublesome to clean but also presents health hazards. With prolonged use, soy candles only create a fine ivory residue that is non- toxic and easy to wipe off with warm, soapy water. Soy Candle, $18 from Hush Candle Electronic diffusers The most significant advantage of electronic diffusers is that they come with a variety of dispense settings, such as continuous or intermittent scenting. Most essential oils also can purify the air via a diffuser – killing bacteria and fungus that lurk around your room. The user-friendliness is also a plus: simply dilute a few drops of essential oil in water, and you’re all set. Nebulising diffusers take things up a notch – they function without water, and the device stays cool even while running on electricity.
