When I chose terracotta tiles with relatively thick, white grout for my kitchen, I did it knowing full well that many homeowners consider them a regret. We’ve heard it countless times in our interviews—hard to maintain, quick to stain, impractical for busy lives. And yet, I still went ahead—simply because there’s nothing quite like it: the warmth, the texture, the way terracotta holds light and ages with time.
