Explore exciting design innovations and the latest trends from Southeast Asia under one roof at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
The third edition of FIND – Design Fair Asia is set to take place at Marina Bay Sands from 26 to 28 September 2024 as part of Singapore Design Week. Jointly organised by dmg events and Fiera Milano, the highly curated trade show will feature over 300 brands across 17,000 sqm of exhibition space, offering a platform for professionals in the property, retail, hospitality, architecture, and design sectors to trade, network, and be inspired. With an expected 15,000 visitors, this year’s fair promises fresh collections, sustainable innovations, and exclusive design collaborations.
A key marketplace for trade
Trade visitors can look forward to FIND Global Summit, which features a stellar lineup of over 50 leading figures from the design and business world. The summit will be centred around five pillars: Resilient Design, Mindful Hospitality, The Asian Blueprint, Collaborative AI, and Creativity, Commerce, and Communication.
Attendees will have the chance to engage in thought-provoking seminars and talks, learn from the experts, and gain insights into the latest trends and innovations in design and business.
FIND’s B2B business matching service will also be enhanced, connecting pre-qualified VIP buyers directly with suppliers through dedicated meetings, extended networking events, and exclusive showroom visits. Leveraging favourable market trends in Southeast Asia, the service aims to streamline the business experience at the fair. Innovative showcase
FIND 2024 will feature stunning country pavilions from the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, and Indonesia, as well as Belgium, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Look out for notable brands like Axor, which will present its AXOR Shower Composition featuring sleek and flexible designs by design icon Philippe Starck. Returning innovators such as Umbrosa will debut three new parasol designs, including their stylish round pink umbrella done in collaboration with renowned designer Karim Rashid. Other exhibitors to watch out for include Jaipur Rugs, which will present exquisite collections that blend traditional rug-making that celebrate Indian heritage with modern designs.
Visitors will also be thrilled to discover new exhibitors including Takesada Shoten, a bamboo workshop with a remarkable 140-year history from Kyoto; Avenir Maison, a purveyor of customised furniture and soft furnishing; Chee Geen, a design and build studio focused on future of kitchen design, lighting specialists D’SOL, and handcrafted illumination installations from Portugal’s SERIP, among others.
Southeast Asian talent
EMERGE @ FIND once again shines a spotlight on the vibrancy of Southeast Asia’s design scene, debuting up and coming talents alongside the region’s seasoned designers. Themed “These Precious Things”, the showcase challenges the notion of value in design, asking, “Do we really need more?” and will feature more than 60 designers, including recent design graduates, from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Their works run the gamut from bold concepts to functional innovations, united by a common thread of questioning and challenging established value systems.

Homegrown designer Ivan Ho’s Parasitic collection transforms waste into objects of desire, offering a critical social commentary about the need to look beyond superficial appearances, while Emeline Ong’s The Pastille Collection gives new life to discarded paper in the form of her brother’s old school notes, evoking a greater appreciation for the potential of overlooked and discarded materials.

Creatively blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, Vietnamese designer Khanh Linh Phan’s presents LUCIA, a fresh collection that reimagines crochet in lighting design, while Malaysia’s Mohd Sujak Hasbollah elevates pasak, an ancient woodworking method using wooden nails as a defining feature of his chair named Lokka.

Returning alumni like Indonesia’s Alvin Tjitrowirjo, the Philippines’ Selena Placino, and Thailand’s Apiwat Chitapanya continue to blend cultural preservation, sustainability, and craftsmanship in their designs. Tjitrowirjo’s rattan creations, Placino’s wood waste lighting, and Chitapanya’s brass furniture reflect the deep cultural heritage of the region, while pushing the boundaries of modern design.

For the first time, EMERGE is partnering with online gallery The Artling to expand commercial opportunities for designers. More than 100 works will be available for sale on the platform starting from 13 September 2024, connecting designers with The Artling’s network of global buyers and collectors.
FIND – Design Fair Asia takes place at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 26 to 28 September 2024. Pre-registration for the event is free until 26 September. On-site, same-day entry to the B2B event is priced at $39 per pax. The last day offers members of the public an opportunity to discover unique interiors for their own home spaces.
