Every home has its favourite hour.
For some, it is the quiet stillness of early morning before the day begins. For others, it is the hour just after sunset, when daylight gradually gives way to a softer, more intimate glow. The kitchen feels cosier, the living room more inviting, and familiar corners take on a different character. It is in these moments that lighting transforms into atmosphere.
This idea lies at the core of The Hour of Light, Sol Luminaire’s latest showcase exploring how architectural and decorative lighting can influence the way we experience our homes throughout the day. Bringing together a new generation of its signature AEON collection alongside carefully curated international and local collaborations, the exhibition demonstrates that lighting plays a defining role in creating spaces with warmth, character and atmosphere.

Designed to be seen rather than hidden, the 30MM Rust Adjustable Tilt pairs a warm terracotta exterior with an adjustable light source, turning a functional downlight into a refined architectural feature.
For Cheng Kit Poh, Assistant Marketing Manager of Sol Luminaire, that favourite hour arrives just before sunset.
“My favourite hour is between 6 and 7pm, when the sky is both gold and blue at the same time. That’s when you really see how your interior lighting performs. The downlights complement the fading daylight, softening the space as natural light disappears. It’s when everything comes together.”
That fleeting transition between natural and artificial light perfectly captures the philosophy behind the exhibition. Rather than competing with architecture, good lighting works quietly in the background, enhancing materials, revealing texture and allowing every room to evolve as the day unfolds.

Inspired by the geometry of a traditional marble, Goli’s spherical lens creates a dynamic play of light that changes with every viewpoint.
Refining an Icon
At the centre of The Hour of Light is the relaunch of AEON, Sol Luminaire’s flagship architectural lighting collection, now expanded into seven distinct products. Instead of reinventing the collection, the brand has chosen to refine what has already become one of its defining signatures.
The latest additions include Eggy, which diffuses light through a transparent fluted funnel to create a warm halo effect, and Goli, whose spherical lens shifts in appearance as you move through a space. Halo V2.5 returns with a more compact footprint while retaining the familiar Ring of Light that has become synonymous with the brand. Meanwhile, the 30MM Rust and 30MM Gypsum Kit offer two contrasting interpretations of recessed lighting, while the cordless Boba Table Lamp marks Sol Luminaire’s first portable lighting design.

Small in size but big on atmosphere, the rechargeable Boba Table Lamp delivers Sol Luminaire’s signature soft glow in a portable, cordless design.
Rather than launching entirely new concepts each season, the collection reflects a philosophy of continuous refinement.
“The Halo has been with us since the start; it’s the icon. And that’s exactly the point. When something is good, you don’t remove it. You improve it. That’s why we’re constantly investing in research and development, refining the technology and downsizing components to achieve a cleaner, smaller outlook without compromising performance. Halo V2.5 is here now, and there’s more coming. That’s what represents Sol Luminaire. Not abandoning what works, but getting smarter with it.”
In many ways, this mirrors the way good homes evolve. The strongest designs are defined by thoughtful improvements that quietly enhance everyday living.

Known for its handcrafted stainless steel mesh creations, a-emotional light transforms light into an art form. Each pendant diffuses illumination through delicate layers, creating depth, texture and ever-changing shadow play.
A Broader Conversation Around Light
Beyond the AEON relaunch, the event also introduces a carefully curated mix of decorative lighting brands and creative collaborations that expand the conversation beyond architectural lighting alone.
The exhibition features collections from Spanish studio a-emotional light, Danish heritage brand LYFA, sustainability-led Pulp, local collaboration Sonogo, alongside Market Set, LightMass, Perforated Boba, and the iKinetic self-powered wireless switch. Together, they showcase lighting through different perspectives, from sculptural statement pieces to understated technical solutions and sustainable innovation.
The result is an exhibition that encourages homeowners to think beyond individual fixtures and instead consider how lighting contributes to the overall experience of a home.
While beautifully designed lighting is often associated with luxury interiors, Sol Luminaire hopes the exhibition challenges that perception.

Powered by every press, the battery-free iKinetic wireless switch offers a smarter, more flexible way to control lighting while keeping installations clean and clutter-free.
Instead of presenting lighting as something overly technical or exclusive, The Hour of Light demonstrates that thoughtful lighting can be accessible regardless of a home’s size or style.
“We wanted to show homeowners that good lighting doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Whether you want minimal technical pieces, something decorative, or portable solutions like the Boba Table Lamp, there’s range. There’s something for every space and every aesthetic. That’s what The Hour of Light is about. See what’s possible, then choose what genuinely works for your home.”
It is a timely reminder that lighting should never be considered only after the renovation is complete. Much like choosing flooring, paint or surfaces, it deserves to be part of the conversation from the very beginning. After all, every material within a home is ultimately experienced through light.
