Instead of using the usual plastic boxes and containers, why not give handwoven baskets a try? These alternative organisers are the perfect repositories for a wide range of bathroom items such as toilet paper, soaps and cleaning supplies. Furthermore, as these baskets are lightweight storage options, it is definitely easier to move them around as compared to their heavier and oft bulkier cousins.

Use a ladder as chic towel rack
Decluttering a bathroom might be a challenge, but do not be too quick to throw in the towel. Instead, hang them up to dry on a leaning wall ladder. Apart from serving as handy storage units, bathroom ladders are also able to bringing a touch of modernity into a bathroom, simply by serving as a standout feature within the space – something that regular towel hooks and racks are incapable of.

Keep your drawers neat and tidy
What’s better than an accessories drawer? The answer: having a well-organised one. One way to accomplish this is to outfit the inside of your built-in storage fixtures with internal organisers that will clearly show what goes where. Place miniature containers or trays within a pull-out drawer or cabinet for an elegant and fuss-free way to ensure your belongings are kept tidy, even when they are out of sight.

Make alcoves your allies
Having wall-mounted storage compartments or fittings, such as mirror cabinets, is not the only way of maximising vertical space within a compact bathroom. Consider creating recessed nooks both inside and outside your bathroom’s shower zone as extra storage space for cosmetics, fabric items and more. In terms of aesthetics, these alcove allies are also great to have around, as they are less likely to break up a bathroom’s visual profile due to them being built into existing structures.
