Designed for both calm mornings and rushed routines, the new hansgrohe Activera S Select shower line combines intuitive controls, water-saving technology, and understated design to make everyday showering feel more effortless and comfortable.
There is something underrated about a shower that simply works well. Not in an overly complicated, tech-heavy way, but in the small everyday moments that homeowners actually notice, how quickly you can rinse out shampoo after a long day, how calming the water feels before bed, or how intuitive the controls are when you are half awake in the morning.
With the new hansgrohe Activera S Select range, the focus seems to be exactly that: improving the everyday shower experience through thoughtful design and practical functionality.
At first glance, the collection keeps things visually understated. Designed together with PHOENIX, an internationally recognised German design studio known for its collaborations across architecture, interiors, and product design, the collection features a clean, understated design language shaped around both comfort and everyday usability. Available in Chrome and Matte Black, the collection is designed to stay timeless and versatile across different bathroom styles.

But the real appeal reveals itself during use.
One of the standout features is the integrated SelectButton, which allows users to switch between spray modes directly on the shower itself. Rather than twisting knobs or adjusting settings mid-shower, a simple press changes the experience instantly.
The two spray modes cater to different moods and routines. Rain mode delivers a softer, gentler flow suited for winding down, while ImpactRain provides a stronger stream that feels more invigorating, especially useful for rinsing shampoo quickly or refreshing yourself in the morning.
The collection also integrates hansgrohe’s EcoSmart and EcoSmart+ technology, helping to reduce water consumption while maintaining a comfortable shower experience. Depending on the model, water flow is limited to either 8 litres or 6 litres per minute.

For many Singapore homeowners, especially those balancing rising utility costs with everyday comfort, this balance between efficiency and usability matters more than ever.
There are also practical renovation-friendly touches built into the range. The VarioFix wall bracket allows installers to reuse existing drill holes, making upgrades less troublesome for homeowners replacing older shower fittings.
Meanwhile, the hand shower incorporates EasySplit technology, allowing it to be dismantled into separate components more easily for maintenance or replacement over time.
None of these features scream for attention individually, and perhaps that is the point. The Activera S Select feels less about flashy innovation, and more about refining the routines homeowners go through every single day.
