Knock it down

For the illusion of a more spacious living and dining area, knock down the kitchen wall to open up the space. More light can also travel to the kitchen, making your cooking area brighter and more spacious. If you want to keep eating and cooking separate, distinguish your kitchen from the dining room with a counter or a glass panel sliding door.
Chalkboards

Chalkboard finishes are getting more and more popular nowadays, and it’s not hard to see why. They are a great addition to any room of the house, from the kitchen and living room to the study. It’s a great space for kids to doodle their masterpieces, or for you to write timely reminders and to-do lists. If your flat doesn’t have a blank wall for a chalkboard, you can even paint chalkboard finish over your doors.
Walk-in wardrobes

If you have a room to spare, why not convert it into a walk-in wardrobe? There’s just something so satisfying about having a room dedicated to all your clothes and accessories. Be sure to add a mirror into the mix – not only can you see how good you look, the mirror also helps give the illusion of a larger wardrobe.

Not sure what to do with that blank canvas? You can always reconstruct it into a feature wall to give the room visual interest. Nothing makes a statement and adds charm to a room like a gorgeous feature wall. Feature walls are also excellent for hidden bomb shelters and laundry areas. Utilise interesting paintings, tiles, wallpaper and even a bold paint colour for an edgy touch.

There’s no such thing as too much storage space, because there never seems to be enough space to store all your stuff, is there? Take advantage of smart storage solutions and hidden spaces. The space under platform beds can be converted into storing space while wall niches serve as good display corners. Extend those shelves into full-length ones; no space should be left wasted!
