EMERGE @ FIND: A continuing highlight of Asian design
Another highlight was EMERGE @ FIND, co-curated by Suzy Annetta and Edwin Loh of award-winning local design firm SUPERMAMA. Dedicated to showcasing rising design talent across Asia, this year saw over 70 designers and 100 works, and for the first time, highlighted creative voices from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and China, in addition to Southeast Asia. Titled “Dialogue Through Design,” it was organised around “Design Object” and “Design Social”, and explored how design both shapes and is shaped by culture, craft and industry.

Highlights included Korean designer Ok Kim’s Merge Wishing Pagoda, a series of sculptural lacquer pieces using traditional Korean techniques, and Movement01, a floor lamp series created by sustainable Chinese design studio Swirl Up made from recycled water jugs and car headlights.

One of the most highly-anticipated segments of the fair, EMERGE continues to showcase Asia’s evolving design identity, with creative tributes to its culture and heritage.
Sustainability at the forefront
Sustainability was a key focus for both exhibitors and the event at every stage. The fair adopted eco-minded practices such as digital visitor passes to reduce waste and carpet-free exhibition halls, except in select areas like the FIND-Global Summit and lounges.

Fair sponsor The Mill was also involved by upcycling used carpets into chairs, while Life by Design, the agency behind the summit and lounges, repurposed red fabric (sponsored by Anonimo) into festive bows to be used in community spaces and care homes during Christmas. Brand agency PICO also supplied cabinets that exhibitors could take home after the event, further minimizing material waste.
During the event, Swiss sanitary solutions giant Geberit hosted a Showroom Discovery Session on 12 September at its flagship Marina Square showroom. There, industry professionals and design enthusiasts were guided through the company’s seamless blend of engineering and aesthetics with a key focus on sustainable innovation. From cutting-edge technologies to functional elegance, the session allowed visitors to experience the brand’s products in an intimate, guided experience and speak with experts about the blending of design and functionality.
Business opportunities expanded
This year, the VIP Buyer Programme resulted in over 300 high-level business meetings, connecting 58 key players from 29 companies with 153 listed projects across more than 10 markets around Asia. After a careful selection process, global names such as AEDAS, Central Pattana, Chanel, HBA and Zaha Hadid Architects participated in the initiative where they were able to directly connect and form potential business connections. It once again proved to be a key meeting point for the regional design community, including high quality buyers with the potential for projects coming to fruition during the event.
Global design
The success of FIND 2025 once again reaffirms Singapore’s position as a cultural hub, a focal point for creativity and ideas to come together. Through its exhibitors, talks and displays, the fair once again proves its importance to both business and the future of design in years to come.
Says Yoko Choy, FIND-Global Summit Content Chair, “I have been fortunate to lead the FIND-Global Summit in nurturing a dynamic platform for professional exchanges and industry insights over these past four years. Through the dedicated curation of the programme and with the sincere support of the industry, we have grown stronger together.”
