Have you heard of FIND – Design Fair Asia yet? This grand design fair is happening at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre during Singapore Design Week, from 22nd to 24th September 2022.

Not only is it the design event of the year, but it’s also bringing you plenty of exciting events, panels and masterclasses, as well as speakers from all over the world.

To get you prepped and pumped for the fair, here are five free-to-attend panels, speakers and masterclasses to look forward to at FIND – Design Fair Asia.

Panel Discussion: Trash to Treasure

Happening on the first day of the fair (22 September 2022) at 4 pm, this panel discussion brings together designers and experts to discuss the use of salvaged and recycled materials in their work and the industry as a whole. Find out why sustainability is so important in the context of design and how climate change can be addressed by designers in creative and innovative ways.

You’ll hear from Adhi Nugraha, Wei Ming Tan and Stanley Ruiz, as well as Suzy Annetta, the Editor-in-Chief of Design Anthology, who will be moderating the panel.

Interni Masterclass: The Art of Living

On the second day of the fair (23 September 2022), get ready for this intriguing masterclass at 11 am. You’ll get to learn all about residential design from multiple experts in the field, unpacking how we make use of our homes as multifunctional spaces and what this means for our priorities when designing them.

From automated kitchen appliances to water-saving bathroom features and multitasking furniture, this masterclass will cover all the bases.

Expect an introduction by Marcus Magee and INTERNI Magazine Editor Gilda Bojardi, as well as skilful moderation by Carlo Biasia, an Architect at Gruppo Mondadori. Equally wonderful contributions in the masterclass will come from experts Savina Nicolini, Jarrod Lim, Amos Campello and Alessandro Del Prete.

Panel Discussion: The Fourth Pillar of Sustainable Architecture and Design

Also happening on the second day of the fair (23 September 2022), this time at 2.30 pm, this panel discussion is all about sustainability in the architecture and design industry. It won’t just address environmental sustainability, but also economic, social and cultural sustainability and how all four pillars come together for a holistic approach to building and design.

With panellists from various countries—Ankur Choksi, Voon Wong and Andrea Tagliabue—this promises to be an invigorating discussion with fascinating perspectives, moderated by the talented Yoko Choy, who is also the Co-Chair of Content at FIND – Design Fair Asia.

Keynote: The Brand Builder

On the third and final day of FIND – Design Fair Asia (24 September 2022), Janice Feldman, Founder of Janus et Cie, will be giving an exciting keynote speech at 10 am.

The designer, artist, business leader and adventurer will take you on an entertaining and informative journey of her career, revealing how she built up her firm from a single showroom to a leading design resource for furnishings, textiles and accessories, with showrooms in major cities around the world.

There is a lot to be learned from her experience and laser-focused strategy, so if you’re an aspiring business owner or entrepreneur in the design world, this keynote speech is for you.

Interni Masterclass: Super Materials

Last but certainly not least, the last day of the fair (24 September 2022) brings you another masterclass at 12 pm, this one all about materials. Considering our growing carbon emissions and the rising threat of climate change, it’s crucial that designers consider alternative, more sustainable materials for their projects.

From furniture to textiles and lighting, discover how designers are creating and innovating with a sustainable, thoughtful approach. After an introduction by Marcus Magee, the Vice President in Asia of dmg events, and Gilda Bojardi, the Editor of INTERNI Magazine, you’ll hear from an impressive line-up: Alex Terzariol, Tiffany Loy, Alberto Fiorenzi and Mirko Bianchi.

The masterclass will be moderated by Carlo Biasia, a renowned Architect at Gruppo Mondadori.
