IKEA’s much-anticipated Wireless Charging collection has arrived! Those of you who, like us, can’t stand the sight of messy cables or the haphazard (blind) hunt of charging cables and outlets every morning can now rejoice. The collection, enhanced with Qi technology, turns everyday objects like bedside tables, lamps and desks into convenient charging spots.
Simply place your Qi embedded smartphone or tablet (which includes iPhone, LG, Samsung and Sony models) on the plus sign on the furniture or pad and that’s it. Devices not equipped with Qi technology can still be charged wirelessly with the use of IKEA’s Vitahult wireless charging covers that are being launched with the collection. Making the deal even sweeter for technophiles is a USB outlet embedded in each piece that allows for additional devices to be charged.
While wireless charging pads are not exactly new to the market, we have yet to see furniture equipped with charging pads – until now, that is. What’s more, the collection’s chic Scandinavian designs make them perfect for stylish homes.
