Living room
Having lived in this home for a while, this household of four wanted a new look for their space. Colin brightened up the living area by installing new lights around the ceiling and polished the marble floor to bring back its shine. He also optimised the layout of the existing art and furniture collection, improving the flow of the room and showcasing the pieces found throughout the world in a more cohesive way.
Balcony
Complementing the home’s modern and artistic new look, Colin had the walls and slatted ceiling painted in vivid hues. He also installed patterned floor tiles here to create a fun and lively atmosphere. With more rustic-looking art on the wall, the balcony has an easy-going appeal that’s great for destressing and enjoying the view.
Kitchen
The family cooks a lot and the previous decor was starting to look a little tired. Now sporting a slightly modified layout, improved lighting and roomy cabinetry in a chic woodgrain pattern, the kitchen feels completely transformed and more enjoyable to cook in.
Master bedroom
New ceiling lights help to create a relaxing atmosphere and highlight the beloved furnishings to good effect. The balcony was also retiled, giving it a more pleasant and inviting appearance.
Common bathroom
Fulfilling the clients’ request for a unique and cosy bathroom, the designer put in soft cove lighting and also added interest with grey patterned tiles for the shower wall and a colourful mosaic behind the mirror.
Tip! Install soft lighting around the periphery of the room to get rid of gloomy corners and make the space feel bigger and brighter.
