Homebodies at heart, the two owners of this resale flat love spending time together but aren’t great fans of hosting social gatherings in their own space.

This meant that their home could be kept fairly simple and streamlined and any extra room could be dedicated to storage space for the couple, not needing to worry about accommodating guests.

For a timeless, future-proof look, the team at OVON Design kept the palette similarly clean, with neutral hues and minimalist finishes.

Living area

Considering that the couple rarely hosts people at home, the designer opted for a pair of armchairs instead of a bulky sofa, keeping the living room airy and open.

Dining area

The only space in the home that makes room for a couple of guests, the dining area is backed by a white brick-effect feature wall, acting as a divider between the dining area and the foyer.

This hides the shoe storage by the entryway from view and lends dinners at home a sense of privacy.

Kitchen

A testament to the homeowners’ minimalist taste and love of simplicity, the kitchen implements lots of storage space and highly functional appliances.

Towards the back, a customised farmhouse sink introduces some visual interest while also enhancing the kitchen’s practicality.

Bedroom

The bedroom exudes comfort and relaxation with its sumptuously upholstered headboard, set against a bright and clean backdrop.

Wooden nightstands break up the monochromatic palette while still keeping things neutral, drawing the eye with softly curved edges.
