Living room
The family wanted a contemporary barn-style home, and this look was successfully captured here with a wood-textured media wall for rustic appeal and large 60x60cm white porcelain flooring tiles that create a bright and modern aesthetic. The same tiles were used throughout the entire unit, creating a more spacious appearance. Shelves built into the right side of the media unit offer a spot for the family to display decor that can be viewed from the dining and kitchen zone.
Kitchen and dining area
Warmer-hued wood laminates were used here, offering a nice contrast to the white cabinetry that almost disappears into the walls to prevent a bulky look. To make full use of the space, the custom-built kitchen island doubles as a dining table. The kitchen counters are quartz from Casastone, paired with glass panels on the backsplash.
Main bedroom
The main bedroom clears the mind with a serene-looking platform bed that stows away any clutter. Light strips along the edge add a soft touch of illumination and enhance the room’s cosy feel.
Second bedroom
Since the room is small, the bed frame and wardrobe were constructed as a single unit, freeing up the other half of the room for other uses. Similar to the design in the main bedroom, the platform offers under-bed storage while being low enough to make the ceilings look taller.
