Living room

As the couple who lives here loves entertaining, Brim Design kept the space open to the adjacent sections of the house so guests can move around freely. Sofas in this area were also positioned to create a cosy atmosphere for conversations. No matter where you sit, both sides have a nice view as one looks out the folding glass doors while the other has a view of decorative items set up on a table placed behind the opposite sofa.

Dual entrance

Now that a wall has been taken down, a grand pivoting door stands in its place and provides flexible access to the master bedroom and closet. The bold feature also acts as a statement piece that adds an additional element of interest to the surrounding areas.

Master bathroom

The expanded bathroom is a relaxing space swathed in a soothing palette of grey and white. With glass partitions in place, plenty of light flows freely through in the daytime. The woven baskets atop wooden shelves are perfect catch-alls for bathroom essentials and keep clutter at bay. In the shower area, a chic nook provides a generous holding space for bottles, eschewing the need for a separate shower caddy.

There’s plenty of breathing and walking space here. Two bedrooms were sacrificed to create an enlarged master suite that has an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet but the results are worth it. Instead of shelves that take up floor space, niches in the wall hold decorative items. To create a more serene atmosphere in this room, the bathroom entrance is a white sliding door that creates a blank wall when it’s closed.

Dining

In the dining zone styled with mid-century style pieces, a large and bold striped rug ties all the pieces together nicely and adds an additional design detail to the area. As the owners are avid art collectors, every available wall space was utilised to display their collection which can now be admired over meals.
