The avid gamer and passionate Netflix binger residing in this studio apartment were looking for a home that would facilitate their love for all things tech. The space was thus fitted out with smart lights and smart-enabled air-conditioning, which can be controlled with a simple “Hey Google, I’m home” and “Hey Google, goodnight” for extra convenience. In terms of the apartment’s aesthetics, an eclectic mix of styles brings together various areas of the home, while gaming and tech themes unify them for a sense of cohesiveness.

Dining area
The centrepiece of the dining area is a luscious, dark dining table and a matching set of chairs from WTP Furniture. Surrounded by deep emerald green walls, this dining set evokes a Nordic vibe with a touch of luxury, the seating conveniently placed behind the couch in the living area for easy Netflix streaming on both sides of the room.
Kitchen
The sintered stone countertops and backsplash from Bellus make for a luxurious yet hard-wearing kitchen since the material is heat-resistant and long-lasting without losing its colour and sheen over time. Next to the kitchen, a dark cement feature wall with grooves provides entertainment for the homeowners, whether they are cooking, dining or lounging.
Wardrobe and gaming area
The homeowners’ favourite spot in the house, this area combines a sleek gaming desk made of matte black laminates and purple LED strip lights with a spacious, Scandi-style walk-in wardrobe. The latter was fitted out with a lush yet minimalistic wood-look ceiling as well as motion sensor lights for ease of use. Despite the different styles, the two sides of the room don’t clash, but rather complement each other, connected by a black tinted glass wall that ties the look together and keeps everything sleek and contemporary.
Bedroom
The focus of the bedroom is without a doubt the custom-built platform bed and soothing feature wall, which incorporates the minimalist look of the walk-in wardrobe as well as elements of the gaming area, such as the Playstation controller-inspired bedside lamps. The platform makes use of the same vinyl flooring as the rest of the house for a consistent look. It’s also equipped with an integrated night light for convenience and a cosier ambience.
