Living room

To cater to their requirements as a multigenerational household, the homeowners requested a large living room that could accommodate everyone comfortably and let their child move around freely.

The older flat was not in a good state, so the designer revamped the entire home, adding new flooring, ambient lighting and plenty of closed storage for a neat and pleasant appearance.

Dining area

The homeowners wanted a working space so the eating zone could perform double duty. A sliding power strip offers convenient charging while large magnetic boards along the wall help the family stay organised and connected.

Kitchen

Outfitted with ample cabinetry, this semi-open concept galley kitchen was designed with easy maintenance in mind. Any mess can be put away in a jiffy and the smooth cabinet doors can be quickly wiped down.

The appliances were also integrated into the built-ins, clearing the counters of clutter. For maximum efficiency, there’s ample room and countertop space for several adults to work together without disrupting each other.

Bedroom

Instead of going with a conventional bed frame, the designer created a custom platform that does it all. Clad in calming dark grey laminates, it offers convenient storage underneath, reading lights and niches that act as side tables.

The rest of the room is a distraction-free zone with creamy walls, simple overhead lighting and heavy drapes to block out light and sound.

Bathroom

One of three bathrooms in the flat, this features a soothing combination of stone and wood-look tiles, with shower niches eschewing the need for caddies on the wall to project an elegant appearance.
