When Wein Goh from Notion of W was put in charge of this sweeping landed house, he embarked on a particularly intensive renovation, turning a whopping 6,000 sq ft of property upside down in the span of one and a half years. Now the family gets to enjoy their time off from overseas travels and welcome guests into their very own luxury haven, making for a much-needed respite from their busy working lives.
Space: Landed property
Size: 6,000 square feet
Designer: Notion of W
Reno period: 75 weeks
Monochromatic, luxurious and certainly modern, the living area boasts a large feature wall clad in Sensa, Cosentino’s natural granite surface, fronted by an opulent chandelier imported from overseas. The almost all-white look of the room is balanced out by the custom timber ceiling, which helps to keep the space cosy and dynamic.
A custom-built kitchen cum dining island spans the length of this area with a clear view of the living room, as well as the outdoors of the home. While the island makes for an inviting place to seat friends and family, it also allows for easy access to the kitchen appliances on the opposite side, which the homeowners carefully picked and shortlisted with Goh’s assistance.
The home’s upstairs lounge area leads directly to a balcony with a lovely view of the neighbourhood. This outdoor space was fitted out with new tiles and fresh handrails, as well as outdoor lighting and a touch of landscaping for an extra cosy environment.
This bedroom is not only luxuriously soothing in design with its clean-cut lines and lack of clutter, but it also boasts a lush wooden feature wall that helps to conceal a door to the homeowners’ walk-in wardrobe.
