Living room
The homeowners were after a cosy sanctuary that would make them feel like they were always on vacation, so designer Sean Lee pulled his inspiration from resort villas. The condo’s high ceilings helped to create a carefree atmosphere, and he complemented the relaxed vibe with an eye-catching yet minimalistic media unit in stone and wood patterns for a natural touch. The existing marble floors were repolished, and only essential pieces were placed here to keep the look airy and breezy.
Gym
A dream space for any Pilates lover, this well-equipped room has a wall clad in mirrors for checking movements during workouts. Glass folding doors with metal frames were installed to provide privacy and also keep the area feeling spacious and bright.
Main bedroom
There’s little reason to leave this bedroom as the clean-lined wardrobe includes an integrated study table, display and TV nook. A light palette helps to maintain a peaceful setting while wood-look laminates on the doors add warmth and visual interest.
Tip! Try using natural textures and tones to create a relaxed feel.
Master bathroom
To refresh the outdated bathroom, Sean installed a new floating vanity with wood laminates and a dark solid surface top. He also applied calacatta marble-look tiles on the walls and used matte, off-white floor tiles to make the space appear brighter and more modern.
Common bedroom
Simple yet grounding, this room is a lovely retreat for nature lovers. Taking references from the outdoors, it features revarnished wood floors as well as timber slats and branch-like designs on the wardrobe doors to play up the nature resort feel.
