Living room
With a predominantly grey colour scheme, the living room establishes the homeowners’ preference for a modern, industrial look. Track lights and vinyl flooring with a concrete-style finish play up this aesthetic, complemented by a custom-built L-shaped shoe cabinet cum TV console that merges into a settee. The light geometric pattern that runs behind the TV rounds off the design with a hint of luxury.
Kitchen
The kitchen carries on the visuals of the living room, incorporating custom-built cabinets made of the same plywood and laminated finish as the carpentry in the living area. The flooring is kept clean and easy to maintain with homogenous tiles, while the backsplash sports glossy subway tiles to give the space some dimension. The focus in the kitchen, however, falls on the bright red stools, which help to break up the overall darkness.
Homeowner’s bedroom
The homeowner’s bedroom maintains many of the design elements we can find in the living area, such as the concrete-style vinyl flooring and the custom-made carpentry. A bedside table was cleverly worked into the full-height wardrobe, allowing the homeowner to maximise his space. The bedding itself stays on track with the overall colour palette, reflecting his personal style.
Sister’s bedroom
The custom-built wardrobe has a slightly brighter colour scheme to suit the occupant’s own taste and style, opting for creamy white hues as opposed to greys. Her special add-on? A large mirror surrounded by lighting strips and handy sockets for full-on beauty sessions. A separate shelf was attached to the opposite wall, enclosing her own TV screen while doubling up as a display shelf for knick-knacks.
Bathroom
Mimicking the design of the kitchen, the bathroom is similarly fitted out with homogenous flooring tiles, as well as ceramic subway tiles with a glossy finish for the walls. The horizontal colour split helps to draw the eye upwards, elongating the room to make it appear more spacious.
