Overall view
In this bachelor pad, the Renozone design team employed sleek lines and a muted colour palette that, when combined with the owner’s collection of art pieces, result in a home that is modern, cosy and quietly characterful. Generous daylight bathes the space via the large windows that allow the occupant to enjoy the surrounding views.
Design details
Although dominated by straight edges and sharp corners, the communal spaces are far from sterile due to the clever layering of colours, textures and shapes. This is seen from the curved profiles of the dining chairs, the furry area rug, the painted feature wall and the George Nelson Sunflower wall clock.
Kitchen island
Despite a helpful galley layout, the kitchen is rather small. Thus, an island unit was installed outside the utilitarian zone to offer the homeowner additional countertop space for dining and hosting. To tie a visual link between both spaces, the designers utilised the same surface materials for the fixtures in the form of wooden worktops and white laminates for the base.
Main bedroom
Pared-back furnishings in the bedroom cultivate a stress-free environment meant specifically for rest and relaxation. Adjacent to the bed, glass walls carve out a walk-in wardrobe for the owner’s clothes and accessories while still allowing natural light to flow freely into and reach all corners of the room.
Main bathroom
White marble and dark wood tones create a sense of calm in the en-suite bathroom. Meanwhile, features like the fluted panels on the wall, a black-tinted full-length shower screen and alternating drawer units help amp up the visual appeal of the space.
