Inspired by flexible living and the advice of a Feng Shui master, this HDB flat was given a grand makeover.

This home’s revamp went much deeper than the modern luxe style we see at first glance. In fact, every nook and cranny was carefully considered and settled according to Feng Shui guidelines, something that was of great importance to the homeowners.

After a lengthy renovation executed with great attention to detail, the family can now host their friends in a spacious, airy and Feng Shui-friendly environment that strikes a fine balance between luxury and comfort.

Living room

The family’s favourite space, the living room was fitted out with a curved TV feature wall from Lamitak, which later inspired the soft curves around the rest of the home.

Lush and timeless, the living area also packs plenty of storage space and of course follows Feng Shui guidelines as well, making it an endlessly soothing space to gather and unwind in.

Dining and kitchen

While the homeowners originally requested two separate dining areas, the design team encouraged them to stick to a single, long dining table instead to keep the design more streamlined.

The tabletop from K Stone and chairs from Journey East are complemented by generous cabinetry with hidden storage space, which keeps the dining area free of clutter. At the back, a peek into the kitchen reveals a marvellous Sensa backsplash from Cosentino.

Bathroom

Marble-look wall tiles from Hup Kiong evoke understated luxury and ensure easy maintenance in the bathroom. A series of floating cabinets keep the floors easy to clean as well as visually expanding the space.

Main bedroom

With its all-white colour palette and light wooden accents, the main bedroom is an instant haven of relaxation.

The Madison bed frame from Castlery makes for a fine centrepiece with its sumptuously upholstered bedhead, while the vanity area at the back boasts a spacious surface area and a textured feature wall from Lamitak.
