The young homeowners wanted their space to balance functionality and aesthetics. The resulting concept blends both needs seamlessly.

Living room
The idea for this spot was to make it feel cosy and fully utilise the available footprint, Nick tells us. The trio decided on a Scandinavian-inspired concept, pulling neutral yet warm tones from the theme and outfitting the area with simple and comfortable pieces such as the Castlery sofa and dining furniture from Grey & Sanders.
The display arc was challenging to execute, shares the designer, but it adds interest and a feel-good factor that elevates the mood of the room. The flooring is Evo High End Resilient Flooring in Pearl Oak from Evorich and most of the walls were painted in Snow Flakes 1164 by Nippon Paint.
Kitchen
A stylish yet easy-to-maintain kitchen was achieved with hardy quartz countertops and sleek built-ins clad in EDL laminates—Cotton Fluff on the top and Dark Harris Walnut on the bottom, echoing the wood and white elements in other parts of the home. The service yard window and door were also updated with black-framed versions for a more modern appearance.
Main suite
A custom wood-panelled headboard fitted with light strips, side tables and sconces nicely wraps around the king-sized bed, which is mounted on a separate fabric-covered frame. The resulting look is polished yet cosy, creating an inviting space to start and end each day.
Common bathroom
The common bathroom underwent a complete overhaul. The piping was redone and the wall and floor tiles were replaced with large, ivory-hued stone-look slabs from Soon Bee Huat that helped to brighten the dim space.
Additionally, the designer further spruced up the bathroom with stylish sanitary fittings and created a custom vanity fronted with EDL Natural Wajar Oak laminates.
Main bathroom
The homeowners requested different looks for the bathrooms, so this took on a moodier vibe that draws inspiration from luxury hotels. Dark and dramatic stone-patterned tiles from Soon Bee Huat create a compelling sanctuary, while a mix of task and ambient lighting provides utility and elevates the decor.
