With the recent announcement of upcoming haze periods and higher temperatures, it’s a good idea to have a solid air purifier on hand.
A long-time favourite of many homeowners, the Dyson Cool Formaldehyde TP09 is a classic in the realm of air purification—and it’s about time we gave it a try ourselves.
Engineered to sense formaldehyde and capture ultrafine dust, pollutants and allergens with HEPA H13 and activated carbon filters, this is a thorough and highly effective purifier that makes a noticeable difference in your air quality.
New homeowners are going to find it particularly handy, removing formaldehyde released by furniture, carpentry, paint, varnishes and some harsher cleaning products.
But this is more than just an air purifier. In fact, it’s also an oscillating fan, expelling cool, fresh air in all directions.
It’s remarkably easy to set up and use, so you can start purifying and cooling down your home in just a couple of minutes. The remote is a nice bonus, allowing you to control the TP09 without getting off the couch or leaving your bed.
While we were very impressed with the air purification, the fan function is the TP09’s weakest feature and the only let-down when trying out the product; the breeze is very light and barely noticeable a few metres from the purifier.
It certainly helps to cool down the space to some extent, but it’s not as powerful as we were hoping for.
We highly recommend the Dyson Cool Formaldehyde TP09 as an effective, powerful air purifier, but we’d suggest pairing it with a proper fan if you’re looking for strong airflow!
