With an all-white design scheme originally in mind, the designer complemented the sweeping ivory shades with light wood laminate cabinets and polished marble tiles to incorporate warm elegance into this space. The cupboards were also outlined with black borders to give them more definition. To make the already scintillating kitchen even brighter, pin lights were added underneath the wall cabinets to make the meal prep workspace easy on the eyes.

The original outdated look was overhauled by positioning a new vanity-cum-mirror cabinet and decking the space with a series of posh decorative fittings. The designer affixed top and bottom cove lights into the wall cupboard and staggered, two-toned mosaic tiles behind it, cleverly illuminating the toilet and subtly showcasing the patterned slabs.

Walk-in wardrobe

When the homeowners wanted to squeeze a walk-in wardrobe into their master bedroom, the designer amplified the illusion of breadth by fitting door panels that double as full-length mirrors. The surprisingly generous walking space also makes it ideal for two or more people to share the dressing area with a comfortable elbow room.

Chic modernity and child-friendliness are what make this master bedroom great for all ages. To protect the youngest occupant’s head from bumping into hard surfaces, custom-made turquoise-padded headboards were placed along the corner walls. Pillows in assorted sizes, patterns, and colours from furniture brand Commune were also put in place to accentuate the space’s modishness. With an odd layout and conservative square footage to work on, the designer acquired a bed with hidden storage and cove lights below to make the room functional and aesthetically pleasing. Mirrors were also installed under the bed to illuminate the space, add depth, and make the room appear larger.
