Australian interior designer Carole Whiting designed her apartment kitchen around a modest footprint with a full suite of Fisher & Paykel appliances. The compact kitchen features two ovens, a gas cooktop, a refrigerator freezer, an integrated rangehood and a DishDrawer™ Dishwasher.
Carole’s kitchen exemplifies what can be achieved when appliances are designed to match a clear vision. The kitchen is constructed using two main materials—larch wood and large-format porcelain tile. These solid blocks of light and dark make this small kitchen feel spacious. The Integrated DishDrawer™ Dishwasher and Refrigerator embed functionality seamlessly. Similarly, minimal-style black cooking appliances let Carole remove stainless steel from the kitchen landscape and allow the appliances to recede into the background.
With this stripped-back scheme in mind, Carole concealed the dishwasher in a cabinet, and added customised black handles and knobs on the cooking appliances to further reduce the colour palette. Two side-by-side ovens allow her to entertain easily, while a single Integrated Refrigerator Freezer reduces lines in the joinery.

Gas on Glass Cooktop

Blending elegance with durability, the ceramic glass base can withstand impact, while the flame failure safety device automatically turns off the gas when the flame goes out.
Built-in Integrated Rangehood
With edge-to-edge extraction, this efficient, stylish rangehood is perfectly hidden away in your cabinetry. Three fan speeds provide powerful extraction, quickly removing odours and steam, and the stainless steel filters are removable for easy cleaning.
Integrated Refrigerator Freezer
Flexible storage options help you keep your fridge organised and shelves can be easily removed for cleaning. ActiveSmart™ technology helps keep food fresher for longer by constantly maintaining the ideal temperature.
DishDrawer™ Double Dishwasher
With the ability to use both drawers independently and select different wash programs, the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher can wash everything from fine glass and crystal to heavily soiled pots and pans. Each drawer holds a true half load for small washes, while the Sanitise option kills 99.9 per cent of bacteria in the final rinse.
