Exploring your options for surfaces? The new launches from Dekton® may be just what you’re looking for.
As a brand that’s always leading the pack when it comes to creating unique, cutting-edge designs, Cosentino is debuting The Collection, a new way of introducing its launches across its various main brands: Dekton®, Silestone® and Sensa by Cosentino®. The Collection comprises all the latest colours, products and series and was initially launched in Almeria, Spain, where Cosentino is from. Of the entire line-up, some of the most exciting surfaces you’ll see this year are covered in The Collection Dekton® 2020.
Comprised of raw materials used to make glass, porcelain and quartz surfaces, Dekton® has become very popular throughout the world for its outstanding properties. It’s resistant to UV rays, scratches, stains, and thermal shock. It also has low water absorption. Further, the material is available in large-format slabs (up to 320cm x 144cm), comes in five thicknesses and can be used indoors or outdoors so it works for everything from paving to worktops.
Unlike some resource-heavy materials, Dekton® is made with sustainable practices in mind. Some of its colours are made with recycled materials, Cosentino itself also collects and recycles 100% of the water used in its production processes. With all these factors, it’s no wonder then that Dekton® has been the choice pick for premium residential and hotel projects across the globe and top-notch restaurants such as The French Laundry by chef Thomas Keller. The four new lines from Dekton® first launched in Spain, but the entire collection is now available in Singapore and throughout Asia. Here’s what’s new with Dekton®.
Dekton® Liquid by PATTERNITY
A collaboration with London-based pattern designer PATTERNITY, this series offers three colourways — Liquid Sky, Liquid Shell and Liquid Embers — inspired by different liquid states and nature’s beauty. Ranging from pearly white to deep black, this collection also honours sustainable design, a nod to Cosentino’s conservative water use in producing Dekton® surfaces.
Dekton® Chromica by Daniel Germani Designs
This collaboration with Daniel Germani Designs offers two dark hues with matte finishes, Baltic and Feroe, which were inspired by some of nature’s most remote and wild locales. These surfaces were limited releases last year for contract projects but are now available for everyone.
Dekton® Avant-Garde ‘20
Inspired by natural stone and characterised by bold patterns, lustrous shine and extreme durability, Laurent, Helena and Khalo are perfect for creating accent surfaces and spaces that exude a luxurious appearance.
Dekton® Portfolio ‘20
This versatile line-up of five surfaces derives its tones and designs from classic designs and hues. This makes them perfect for all kinds of design projects and gives them enduring appeal that will last the test of time.
