Living area

In order to underscore the expansive size of this landed property, a striking yellow hue was applied to the living room’s main wall, emphasising the height of the ceiling. Simultaneously, this pop of colour livens up the common areas, contrasting with the earthy plywood ceiling and the black-painted exterior of the master bedroom on the second floor. Hidden track lights can be pointed at the yellow wall to create an intriguing lighting effect that envelops the entire room in a warm glow. While it took the family of four some time to warm up to this daring design, they are ultimately delighted with the refreshing result.

Feature wall

Placed strategically to hide the staircase leading up to the second floor, the TV feature wall boasts wood-look laminates from Lamitak, mirroring the plywood ceiling for a soothing design. On the righthand side of these earthy panels are high-gloss stainless steel inserts with a black coating for a touch of monochromatic luxury. Hidden storage can be opened up all around the TV, keeping the surroundings free of clutter.

Home office

This minimalist space centres a custom-made shelving unit and study desk, the latter topped with a marble-look laminate slab from Lamitak. The invigorating turquoise hue on the wall encourages productivity and focus in this modern work zone, while a set of blinds can be opened for an abundance of natural light.

Daughter’s bedroom

The highlight of the daughter’s bedroom is without a doubt the cosy reading niche built into the side of the room, which is not only fitted out with a comfy cushion but also a few nooks to store items like reed diffusers and small plants. The recess in the wall also helps to break up the storage space in the bedroom, designating a few cabinets to the top of the wall while a tall wardrobe takes up the right-hand side. The bay window looks out onto the home’s quiet terrace, adorned with hanging plants and a custom-made chengal bench.

Master bedroom

Elegant in its simplicity, the master bedroom flaunts a custom-made bed frame backed by striped laminates and flanked by matching bedside storage. A separate row of laminate-finished cabinets tops the headboard for extra storage space, keeping the overall look clean and airy.
